Project Overview

A Home That Finally Feels Connected

Cherry Ave started as a home with good bones but disconnected spaces that didn't make the most of how the family actually lived.

The goal wasn't to completely reinvent the house. It was to open it up, bring in more light, and create spaces that felt natural, comfortable, and easy to live in every day.

The renovation centered around a new kitchen, updated living spaces, and a stronger connection to the backyard. Warm oak cabinetry, handmade tile, soft neutral finishes, and thoughtful details throughout helped transform the home without losing its character.

Today, the kitchen, dining room, living room, and outdoor spaces all work together as one cohesive environment designed for gathering, entertaining, and everyday life.

01

The Kitchen Takes Center Stage

The kitchen became the heart of the home. Custom oak cabinetry, handcrafted tile, floating shelves, and a large farmhouse sink create a space that feels bright, functional, and welcoming without feeling overly designed.

02

Open Spaces That Feel Comfortable

Walls and visual barriers were removed to improve the flow between the kitchen, dining area, and living room. The result is an open layout that still feels warm and intimate.

03

A Fireplace With Presence

One of the home's defining features is the dark fireplace surround. It anchors the living room and creates contrast against the lighter finishes used throughout the rest of the house.

04

Natural Materials Everywhere

From the wood cabinetry and flooring to the textured tile and layered finishes, every material was selected to add warmth and character while keeping the overall design simple and timeless.

05

Living Beyond The Walls

Large sliding doors create an easy transition from the interior living spaces to the backyard and pool area, making the outdoor space feel like a natural extension of the home.

What was once a collection of separate rooms now feels like one connected home.

The finished space is brighter, more functional, and far more inviting than before. Every room feels intentional, but nothing feels forced. It's the kind of renovation that looks beautiful in photos but works even better in real life.
